An audit is an objective examination of an organization’s practices and supporting documentation. In the case of a Facility Management System, it means demonstrating the effective and efficient delivery of FM to your client (known as the demand organization). This is achieved by outlining what you said you would do, what you actually did (supported by reasonable evidence) and noting any situation where it was not possible to do as you had planned and the actions you took instead.
JOIN USIS AUDITING & CERTIFICATION JUST FOR LARGE ORGANIZATIONS?
Not at all. If you are two or three people working in the FM department of a company that employs its own cleaning, maintenance and security personnel, you need a Facility Management System. If you are a service provider with two or more service contracts, you also need a Facility Management System. In both cases, it should be a formal arrangement implemented in conformity with ISO 41001, and subject to periodic audit, if it is to work for you and your client/customers.
JOIN USWHAT DOES CONFIRMATION OF CONFORMANCE MEAN?
With the assistance of FMS Audit, you are able to self-declare the conformity of your Facility Management System with ISO 41001 once you have determined that your internal policies, processes, practices and procedures are aligned with the standard’s requirements. You do this through an Internal Audit and Management Review which we assess. We then issue a Confirmation of Conformance unless corrective action is necessary, in which case we advise on any action to be taken before confirmation is issued.
